On 25 March 2011, Queens’ College hosted a charity dinner and fashion show. The event was organised by Anne Furbank Ltd and the Rotary Club of Cambridge Rutherford to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The fashion show was held in Cripps Hall with tables arranged around a catwalk where models showed off the latest fashions from Anne Furbank. The event raised £2,800 for the charity with over 130 guests attending and money being raised by ticket sales and a raffle.

Richard Morris from the Rotary Club of Cambridge commented:

“The food and service was excellent. The organisation and help beforehand from Queens’ was exceptional and in particular from the Events Coordinator, Kelly Anderson. We use Queens’ College on a permanent basis for our regular meetings and will also be holding a post golf tournament dinner in the Old Hall in May.”
