Queens’ College recently hosted Business Weekly’s 21st Anniversary Awards Ceremony referred to by local entrepreneurs as “The greatest social occasion in the Cambridge business calendar”

The Awards Ceremony, organised by Business Weekly, the regions premier business newspaper, are well attended and this year more than 200 VIPs including chief executives and government influencers attended the dinner.

Tony Quested; Chief Executive of Business Weekly gave this glowing testimonial:

“Business Weekly held a fantastically successful 21st Anniversary East of England Business Awards ceremony at Queens’ College in March 2011. The feedback from senior executives attending the event was unparalleled in its enthusiasm for the stunning quality of the food and the absolutely outstanding service provided by all the Queens’ staff on duty. “Best ever,” was the consensus for the food, the service and the ambience created for the 200 executive guests, who included some of the most powerful influencers in UK and international business.

“Nothing was too much trouble for Tim Shorey and the competent and enthusiastic Queens’ team. The buzz started with the drinks reception in the magnificent Old Hall with the fire glowing, the champagne flowing and the jazz band on great form. Cripps Hall, where the Awards dinner and presentation ceremony were held, looked a positive picture; beautifully laid out and conducive for the night of fun that followed. Queens’ staff never stopped smiling; they were attentive – even anticipatory – and the food was to die for. We have already booked our 2012 event for Queens’ – it is a worthy host for what local entrepreneurs call ‘The greatest social occasion in the Cambridge business calendar.”
